UpToDate App

To use UpToDate on your mobile device, you will need to register or create a personal UpToDate account.

There are two ways to register:

  1. Register from a desktop computer on the SMU campus
  2. Access from the SMU Library Website, MySMU, or A-Z Databases page. You will be prompted to login with your SMU credentials.

Once you register or create a personal account, you will be able to download the app and login using your personal UpToDate login and password.  NOTE: UpToDate requires that you reauthenticate your access every three months.

To Reauthenticate

To reauthenticate or regain access to UpToDate through your mobile device, you need to access UpToDate through the library website using your SMU credentials and then enter your personal UpToDate username and password. Once you do these two steps, you should be able to use UpToDate on your mobile device.

UpToDate will email you before the three months are up, asking you to reauthenticate to retain mobile access.
